Fifth District FAQ

  • How does someone become a member of the Fifth District?

The Fifth District Dental Society of Kansas is the local component of the Power of Three--the American Dental Association on the national level, the Kansas Dental Association on the state level, and the Fifth District Dental Society of Kansas locally. If you are a member of the ADA and your primary practice is located in Franklin, Johnson, Linn, or Miami county in Kansas, then you are a member of the Fifth District.

  • What is Study Club?

Each year beginning in September, the Fifth District Dental Society offers a continuing education package, or Study Club, consisting of five programs providing a minimum of six continuing education units each. Fifth District members and Associate members have the option of prepaying all five sessions at a discounted price. All dental professionals have the option to attend individual Study Club meetings and pay per event.

  • Do my membership dues include the continuing education package?

Dues paid annually to the ADA, KDA, and Fifth District do not include the continuing education package. Fifth District members will receive notification in early June with information on the new Study Club series, and will have the option to become a Study Club Season Member by prepaying for all five meetings before September 1.
